A 2 game losing streak is such a disappointment right now. We have been spoiled with the Giants Cactus League record so far and when they get shut out by the Padres it makes the loss magnified.
Diamond Notes (quick):
- Before the game begins there is always a zoo of people leaning over the dugout to get anyone to sign something for them. It’s a little much at times as you get “hurdlers” that don’t care and start jumping rows and sprinting from home to first (about the length of the dugout) to get the next victim, I mean player, that will get to sign stuff.
Today was no different and the fans went crazy when Buster Posey popped his head out. Except this time it wasn’t Buster. Sergio Romo decided to put on Posey’s jersey and start stretching/swinging a bat on the edge of the dugout to get fans fired up. It worked. The worst part is I bet 50% of them wouldn’t know the difference.
- That was about the only smiles the fans got at the yard today as the Giants bats were absolutely non-existent.
We did have 8 hits but they were spread out so evenly that the Giants weren’t able to get the timely knock w/RISP.
