This was my first Arizona Fall League experience and I gotta say it was a blessing. As many before me have already stated, it is truly the “hidden gem” in baseball. Top prospects, games everyday, and sit wherever you want all for about $1.50/game? If you wanted to, you could see Buster Posey behind the dish during the day and then see Stephen Strasburg on the hill that night. You can’t beat that anywhere.
If you are thinking about Spring Training, think about Fall League as well. When it’s raining and overcast in the city next November, you could be out here watching the next group of Giants in 85 degree sunshine putting a cold one back. I love it.
I’m not going to spend much time on recapping statistics or projections for the players, I’ve been doing that all season for the most part and most of you know what’s up.
I do want to thank some people on the site for their help in making this project enjoyable and progressive.
- The Readers, thanks again for following the site! The coverage is for you guys and I hope you continue to enjoy it in the off season and next year.
- The Players, Joe, Buster, Brandon, Thomas, Daniel, Steve, the whole Scorpions roster, and all the great players I had a chance to meet this fall. Thanks for dealing with me taking a lot of pictures everyday, the fans really appreciated it. Thanks also for sacrificing another 2 months of the off season to play.
- Nathan McNair, Thanks bro for all your help, information, and for supporting fan involvement, best wishes for next year, even if it’s with the Dodgers….
- My Wife, Thanks for letting me get home at 11:00 after coming back from a lame Scottsdale night game that I got absolutely worthless photos from. (Did I tell you how much I hated Scottsdale night games?) Also, for letting me try to create something on my own that I love to do, you’re the best.
- Vista Print, for finally delivering my business cards the day after the season ended. They are super useful now that everyone has left…
