It was a tale of back to back games with Phoenix. Yesterday, a solid pitching performance with impeccable defense. Today however, had pitching struggles and errors galore. At one point in the game, it was 5-0 Phoenix, on 2 hits and a BB…5 runs on 2hits!? You just can’t give extra outs like that and expect to compete in the game.

With this loss, the Scorpions fall back to 3.5 games back with 7 to play. That game that ended in a tie might as well be a loss.

Diamond Notes:

* 2 of the errors were given to Domonic Brown in RF. A couple routine FO’s turned evil as he misread them by breaking in too much.

* The left side of the infield didn’t help either with each Holcomb and Friday notching an “E” on the belt.

* Posey went 1-3 with a BB.

I got some cool shots of Buster and Cisco in the pen during warm ups though.
