The Scorpions earn a much needed W today by coming back down 7-4 in the bottom of the 8th. The Scorps throw up a 4 spot and Reynolds came in to close it out. Willin Rosario was a beast, going 3-5 with 2HR, 3RBI’s. Joe Martinez started the game a little shaky allowing 3 runs in the top of the 1st, but then shut the Rafters down, 4IP, 3H, 3ER, BB, 4K’s. The late inning heroics saved Joe from getting a loss.

Diamond Notes:

* Thomas Neal started today’s game at 1B. As you may recall, I posted that he was taking infield practice there a couple days ago. Today that practice came to life as he did a great job there making a diving stab on instant double right near the bag. I was in position to get shots of it but the first base coach for the Rafters decided to run in front of me…thanks for that if you are reading this.

* Posey and Crawford were in the lineup today as well. Posey gets robbed by this stadium like no other…I have said that its 430ft dead center. Posey hits monster shots, probably 420ft that are always to dead center. He got 2 FO’s today that would have been HR’s if not for the park. Gotta run to Bible study, so for the sake of time, check out the box here.

* Joe Martinez finally got to pitch in a day game! For the love, I was getting so burned that every game he pitched in was a night game (at least the ones I have been to). Night games are the worst for shooting pitchers with my rig. Especially with the crap lights they have at most of the stadiums, all my shots of Joe thus far have been worthless. Today made up for all of that, so there are a bunch of Martinez pics from different angles. Here are a couple of my favorite.

I like this one of Danny Moskos as well. That Bullpen during the day is legit to shoot in.
