As stated, I wasn’t able to attend the game last night, but I just got a chance to read the box.
* Posey went 2-5 with a solo HR and scored 2 runs. The game ended in a tie 5-5 after 11 due to AFL rules. Posey needed a game like this. He was the only Scorpion to have multiple hits and not only did the offense pick up, the defense was legit as well as Buster threw out 2 runners at 2B (Tosoni and Burns). They were running on him though as the Solar Sox went 2-4 in SB attempts.
* Joe Martinez apparently struggled this start allowing 4ER during 2.2 innings of work. 64 pitches, 34 for strikes.
* Couple interesting tidbits:
Mesa Shortstop Steve Singleton was ejected from the game in the 11th. I have not seen someone get ejected this season, let alone in the scheduled last inning of a game.
The Scorpions picked off 3 base runners at first.
