Despite a great effort by Joe Martinez, the Scorpions weren’t able to quiet the Dogs as they went on to take sole possession of 1st place in the East Division.
* Joe Martinez went 4IP with a BB and 3K’s. He got out of trouble in the first with an amazing catch by DBacks OF Gillespie, who, after getting off the ground, turned and gunned a perfect relay home allowing Posey to put the tag on.
He also lowered his ERA to .90
Posey was 1-4 with a 2B and 1RBI, 5LOB.
