The Scorpions controlled this game all the way to the 9th when the bullpen imploded.

A 7-0 lead (with just 1 hit allowed until that point) gave way to a crooked number tying the game to go to the bottom of the ninth.

* Brandon Crawford hit the game winning infield nubber that won the game, snatching victory from the jaws of ultimate failure.

* The Giants not only walked off in victory, they also walked off to first base…6 times. Posey, Crawford, and Neal each had 2 walks. When was the last time you read a box score where 3 Giants players had 2 BB’s apiece in a game?

* Daniel Turpen is a wall, nothing gets passed him.

He came in to pitch a scoreless 8th, going 1-2-3. It was the first two outs that had the crowd going. The first batter was Iorg, who hit a one bounce comebacker to the right of the mound. Turpen stabbed it with his bare hand and threw to first to get him. It was a very nice play.

The second out was against #2 Pick Dustin Ackley. He hit a dribbler to 2B and Turpen fielded it but the First Baseman wasn’t in position to cover. Turpen turned on the jets and went Ussain Bolt on us, beating Ackley to first for the second out.

* Steve Edlefsen gets the W by recording 1BB and 1K to end the 9th.
