That’s exactly what I’m trying to do.
I’m not really an analyst, a scout, or even a writer. I don’t have $5,000+ lenses that require their own tripod or the latest next generation camera, in fact I usually only bring one piece of glass. I guess what it breaks down to is I’m trying to tell a story from a certain perspective, yours.
This site is here for glimpses of the game that provide clarity to “at bats” and faces to names. Keeping the point of view as if you were actually watching B.P. from left field trying to snag a foul liner or sitting behind the backstop attempting to read a pitch.
Photojournalism from a fan’s perspective.
Ultimately though, I want to be able to provide the fan base an outlet to learn more about the game and it’s players. The way our teams have trended the last couple of years, you may see these kids regularly at China Basin sooner than later and to me that’s exciting.
A couple quick thoughts in closing:
- This site is in very early development. I just put something together in order to get the content out quickly and routinely. Hopefully, there will be continual upgrades and a much better interface soon.
- I am working on adding comments within the posts. For some reason I can’t get it to work properly but it will be fixed soon.
Thanks for stopping by!
