Pics from tonight’s much anticipated Strasburg debut will be up shortly. Unfortunately, the field isn’t lit very well there and with the limited equipment I have I didn’t get a lot of good shots. blurrrrrrrr…. I have included some ones that I thought were serviceable. There were a million cameramen there, so I am sure there will be that many more great pictures to checkout.

Some quick notes:

Thomas Neal got the first hit off of Strasburg. He earned it too, a great AB. He also had a running catch at the wall and again doubled up a runner at 2nd. He’s started 2 double plays in 3 games from LF! His arm impresses me the more I see of it. I say let’s save the money on Bay or Holliday, whose numbers will suffer even more by coming to AT&T, stick Velez or Torres there as a holding pattern until Neal/Kieschnick/Ford? But then again, it’s Sabean…

Posey gunned down a runner at second. I agree with Kruk that his arm is ++. Posey-Crawford CS is a great combination as well.

They finally let Crawford play SS tonight. It doesn’t help that they have 6 SS’s on the roster, I guess. He has contributed the most with the bat of the Giants roster, and from the 2 hole no less.

Lastly, Edlefsen came in to work an inning and had another shutdown outing. 10 pitches, 1-2-3, 2 GO’s and a K.
