Scorps Shutout Sags, Crawford with 3 hits

Posey Lights It Up
As stated, I wasn’t able to attend the game last night, but I just got a chance to read the box.
* Posey went 2-5 with a solo HR and scored 2 runs. The game ended in a tie 5-5 after 11 due to AFL rules. Posey needed a game like this. He was the only Scorpion to have multiple hits and not only did the offense pick up, the defense was legit as well as Buster threw out 2 runners at 2B (Tosoni...

I won’t be able to attend the game tonight as my wife and I will be attending a dinner. Joe Martinez is scheduled to start and hopefully they can get some payback on Mesa for the spanking they received a couple days ago.

Scorpions Destroyed. Crawford Goes Yard.
This game was over after the first inning. Scorpions lose to the tune of 12-5 with Mesa winning 11-0 after 4. Brutal fielding mixed with poor pitching really put this game away.

Sometimes it’s like the regular season never ended. This Scorpions team is reminding me of the SF Giants more and more… losing games to teams they should beat. The Javelinas are a good team, and actually lead the Western division, however when you have a 4 run lead you would hope it could be protected. A brutal day for the Scorpions as they lose another game on the division leading Desert Dogs.

The Scorpions controlled this game all the way to the 9th when the bullpen imploded.
A 7-0 lead (with just 1 hit allowed until that point) gave way to a crooked number tying the game to go to the bottom of the ninth.

11-1 final.
Thomas Neal was the only Giants representative in this game. and had another great outing going 2-5 with a 2B and 2R. He was in the 5 hole today as Posey rested.
I wonder if Banister read my post about moving him up?…He should have.

The Scorpions lost to the Mesa Solar Sox yesterday as they fall to 4-4 on the young season.
Couple of observations:
* Buster Posey picked up his offensive game with a 2-4 night including a 2B (1st XBH) and 2RBI. Both RBI came with 2 outs. He remains in the 5 hole.
Defensively however, the box score tells a different story with an error and a passed ball. I wasn’t at the game and...

AZIL Giants V AZIL Dodgers+MLB Players (Camelback)
The Giants had a great offensive day with doubles to the gaps, timely hitting, and a LF shot near the scoreboard by Ydwin Villegas. Pitching did a great job as well as they were facing a sprinkling of Major League hitters in Chien Lung Hu, Jason Repko, and Blake Dewitt, the Dodgers offense however never seemed to get going.

I recently had some questions about why there were some pictures that are blurred or with heads at the bottom, etc.
The reason for this is I just dump all of the photos from a digital “roll” on to Flickr as it saves massive amounts of time trying to get content up routinely and timely.

AZIL Giants go “on the road” to Camelback Ranch today to face the AZIL Dodgers for the first and last time of Instructional League.
I know the game is just for working on play and coaching but there’s still something to seeing the Orange and Black take on the Bums in blue.
